Having had her own experiences of mental health issues as a young person, it is a subject that is close to founder Sam Layton’s heart. After being unable to access mental health services confidentially, she started a campaign to change the way CAMHS is accessed. As this campaign progressed, she decided that she should start a charity, Support For Us, to provide information, resources and training around young peoples mental health as well as looking to change the way CAMHS is accessed.
